Attorney Daphne Hankins 

Attorney Daphne Hankins is a graduate of Elon University School of Law, where she focused on immigration and international law. Her time there was marked by her position as a Dean’s Scholar, editor for the International Law Journal, and her dedicated service to the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic, where she served families and individuals at all stages of their immigration journey. She was also selected as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival Fellow and represented over a dozen DACA clients.

In 2016 she worked as a summer associate at the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines. There, she primarily worked mutual funds and policy and provided valuable input regarding regulations surrounding the Philippine stock market. In 2017, she worked in Shanghai, China where she worked one-on-one with clients as a summer associate for an international law firm on a wide variety of cases, ranging from international contracts to criminal charges.

Attorney Hankins has always had a passion for international and immigration issues. She was raised in the Filipino community of North Carolina and has served as a non-profit program manager for international non-profit, Worlds Apart, One Heart Inc. for five years.

She has traveled extensively and visited fifteen countries, primarily in Asia, and is enthusiastically studying Mandarin and Tagalog. She has a great passion for her family, her dog, and learning more about the countries and cultures her clients are from.
